Modern Dance Tee Design

This tee was meant to be kept simple, in Maroon

The idea revolves around dance phrases including:

The design was more of the cutting of the shirt, it being long-sleeved and a full shirt that reaches the hips. But also doubling with the option of being able to fold up the sleeves and button them at the elbow area and also rolling it up to below chest level and tying a knot, serving as a cropped top. Hence, 2 shirts in 1 shirt :)

There is a hand drawn pocket to emphasize the childlike feeling, the initial fun and joy dancing brings. That even a child can dance. It is a pocket to show remembering dance moves and the characters you have to portray using your heart, as if pocketing everything down and keeping them as a memory. The dancer is placed in the pocket, and the pocket it located where one's heart will be. This is a very straight forward way of saying "Dancing with your heart"

That was the original design of it but my friend, Cheryl, found a nicer font that makes use of the human form to create letters and we decided that we were to use it:

These are the quotes to be on the back of the shirt:

We called up the tailor and we were told that one shirt would easily be $40 which is a big nono and so the design was scrapped :(

But I still like it because it reminds me to stay true to dance and that it has helped mould me into who i am today. That NYMD has etched so many beautiful memories in my heart
